This Verification Policy outlines how we verify the identity of both fans and celebrities, the type of data we collect, and how that data is securely handled.

1. Why Verification Is Important

To protect the safety of everyone on the platform and to ensure genuine experiences, we require certain verification steps before users can book or list any services.

Verification helps us:

• Prevent fraud or impersonation,

• Ensure real interactions between real people,

• Maintain platform integrity and accountability.

2. Verification for Celebrities

To list yourself as a celebrity, you must complete one of the following verification options:

Option 1: Standard Verification

• Submit a government-issued ID (e.g., Aadhar, PAN, Passport, Driver’s License),

• Provide a profile photo and basic information (name, location, profession),

• (Optional) Link your social media handles to enhance credibility.

Option 2: Manual Video Verification

• If you prefer not to upload an ID, you can choose to be verified through a video call with our internal team.

• During the call, we’ll assess your identity and background manually.

• If approved, your profile will be marked as “Verified by Celebunch Team.”

3. Verification for Fans

We require minimal verification for fans to ensure secure bookings:

• OTP-based mobile number verification at the time of signup or checkout.

• Google Login (Gmail authentication) for a secure and easy sign-in process.

These checks help us reduce fake accounts and maintain communication reliability.

4. How Your Verified Information Is Used

We take your privacy seriously. Verified data is:

• Used only for platform authentication and internal checks.

• Not publicly visible on your profile.

• Stored securely using industry-standard encryption practices.

• Never sold or shared with third parties except when required by law or for dispute resolution.

  
  

5. Reverification & Profile Updates

If suspicious activity is detected, or your account details change significantly (such as your phone number, name, or photos), we may ask for reverification. We may also suspend services temporarily until verification is completed.

6. Failure to Verify

• If a user fails to complete verification, access to certain features (like listing as a celeb or booking experiences) may be restricted.

• Any attempt to submit false or misleading information may lead to permanent suspension from Celebunch.

  
  

7. Dispute & Identity Use

In case of a conflict or fraudulent incident, verified identity data may be used internally for:

• Investigating disputes,

• Assisting law enforcement (when legally required),

8. Incorrect Verification / Mistaken Transfers

If Celebunch processes any payout or privilege based on a false or mistaken identity, we reserve the right to:

• Reverse such action, and

• Reclaim any amounts or privileges granted based on incorrect verification.
